Katabat is pleased to announce that it will be the title sponsor of this year’s TD MBNA Charity Golf Tournament. This year’s tournament will be held at the GreyHawk Golf Club in Ottawa on Tuesday, August 20th.
“We have been attending this tournament for the past seven years,” says Katabat General Manager Mike D’Andrade. “We truly admire TD’s commitment to their surrounding community and are thrilled to play a larger role this year in supporting their efforts.”
The tournament supports three important charities in Ottawa—Support Our Troops, the Ottawa Food Bank, and the OSEG Foundation. While based in Ottawa, Support Our Troops assists the entire Canadian Armed Forces community. Military families are often faced with unforeseen, immediate needs. It is the mission of Support Our Troops to provide assistance to serving members, veterans, and their families when such challenges arise.
The Ottawa Food Bank seeks to increase access to healthy food for everyone. They accomplish this through growing food, working with farmers, networking with organizations, and education. Through their efforts, 14 tons of food are distributed to the community each day.
The OSEG Foundation also focuses on the health of the community. They do this by ensuring that all children have the opportunity to play, learn, and develop through sports. Volunteer coaches and players from Ottawa’s football, hockey, and soccer teams have reached more than 6,000 kids through OSEG Foundation’s youth development programs.
Katabat is looking forward to being part of this year’s tournament. The shotgun start is at 10:00 a.m. See you out on the course!
