Experienced Industry IT Executive Brings Wealth of Experience, Will Head Enterprise Architecture Group for Rapidly Growing Firm
Wilmington, DE., August 12, 2014 — Katabat is pleased to announce today that Rick Reese has joined the firm as Head of Enterprise Architecture, reporting to CTO Ye Zhang. “Katabat continues to grow tremendously within the largest banks across the world, so hiring an executive with Rick’s experience is a key component to sustaining and increasing that momentum”, said Vytas Kisielius, CEO of Katabat. “Rick’s background in banking IT brings us a wealth of insight into how we are viewed by our clients’ IT organizations, and in identifying the things we need to improve upon to continue our global expansion.”
In this newly created role, Mr. Reese has executive responsibility for defining the overall architectural strategy and key integration capabilities for Katabat, a fast-growing technology software firm that provides global lenders with automation for customer-facing business processes from marketing and customer service to collections and recovery. Katabat’s robust CredAgility® platform enables seamless, data-driven customer experience management solutions that give creditors a competitive edge in an increasingly dynamic consumer market. Rick brings to Katabat more than 25 years of IT management experience. He was an inaugural winner of the 2010 Forrester Research/InfoWorld award for Enterprise Architecture. Formerly SVP of EA for Western Union, VP of EA for Discover Financial, and VP of EA for W.W. Grainger; Rick led major IT transformations including design and delivery of a 50MM account credit card processing platform, secure point-of-sale contactless payment solution, real-time anti-fraud analytics engine, and SOA driven customer service architectures. He is TOGAF Certified and was a Certified IBM IT Architect.
Rick is a graduate of Penn State’s Executive Leadership program, has an MBA from Loyola University, and Bachelor of Business from Western Illinois University. He is the author of two books, “I/T Architecture in Action” and “Troux Enterprise Architecture Solutions” and is a frequent speaker about business and IT strategic alignment.
