Veteran Entrepreneurs Gain Valuable Support from DC-area Business Community

Katabat was honored to be a part of this year’s Muster DC hosted by Bunker Labs!

Bunker Labs is a non-profit network of military veteran entrepreneurs devoted to helping other veterans and their spouses realize their full business potential. Each year they bring their Muster Across America Tour to cities across the U.S.

Muster DC, sponsored this year by JPMorgan Chase & Co, showcased military veteran and spouse entrepreneurs with the goal of connecting them to both future investors and customers. Veterans get the opportunity to share their business with local experts, get feedback on their ideas, and create relationships with the Washington DC-area business community.

The day-long event, held at District Winery, featured a keynote by Under Secretary of the Army Ryan D. McCarthy, a pitch competition, a panel on the topic of access to capital, and plenty of networking opportunities. Katabat sponsored the Community Startup Gallery which showcased numerous veteran-owned startups.

“The range of businesses, from an AI-enabled technology company to a non-profit providing wellness programs to first responders, was really unprecedented,” says Katabat’s Head of Product Strategy, Kelly Dickerson.
